Vision

A family of learners, growing together.

Mission Statement and Ethos

At St. Malachy’s Primary School, we are a family of learners, growing together. We are committed to fostering respect, encouraging individuality and inspiring kindness. We strive to create a happy, safe and caring community which is an extension of the family. We inspire our pupils to recognise their talents, develop a love for learning and acquire the knowledge and skills to be their individual best.

Core Values

Respect

  • We respect each other’s feelings, opinions and the right to be ourselves, fostering an appreciation of the world around us and care for others.

Inclusion

  • We are an inclusive community where each child is celebrated for their unique identity, talents and abilities.

Nurture

  • We provide a happy and caring learning environment where we value the holistic development of every child and the pupil's voice is actively encouraged.

Community

  • We celebrate our Catholic faith and the diverse range of faiths and traditions of all, striving for strong relationships between school, family, parish and the local community.

Friendship

  • We offer a friendly, safe and supportive community where equity and fairness are expected and pupils’ health and well-being is nurtured.

Positivity

  • We provide positive learning experiences where children are encouraged and challenged to become independent thinkers who strive for success and achievement.
